About the role
This is a technical media-buying interview focused on how you operate programmatic campaigns from setup through optimisation and reporting. The panel is looking for disciplined reasoning about auctions, audiences, measurement and inventory quality, plus the ability to explain platform details in plain language.
How to prepare
- Map out one programmatic campaign from brief, setup and launch through optimisation and final reporting.
- Revise auction types, bid strategies, pacing, frequency caps, attribution windows and common sources of reporting discrepancies.
- Prepare a troubleshooting sequence for sudden changes in spend, win rate, cost or conversions.
- Think through how you balance scale with viewability, brand suitability, fraud controls and audience privacy.
- Practise explaining a programmatic recommendation to a client who does not use buying-platform terminology.
Common mistakes
- Listing platform features without explaining when or why you would use them.
- Changing several controls at once and then claiming one change caused the result.
- Optimising only to cheap impressions while overlooking conversion quality and inventory risk.
- Treating attribution reports as exact without discussing windows, deduplication or tracking gaps.
