About the role
This interview covers the systems that collect, reconcile and present network alarms, performance and inventory data to operations teams. The panel wants someone who can follow data across interfaces, support production platforms and translate an operational request into a reliable, testable OSS change.
How to prepare
- Map a familiar OSS flow from a network element through mediation to the user interface.
- Review how you diagnose failed collections, duplicate alarms and stale inventory records.
- Prepare an automation example with logging, error handling and a safe rollback.
- Revise the Linux, database and interface checks you use during platform support.
Common mistakes
- Treating the dashboard as the source of truth without tracing upstream data.
- Automating a process without controls, logging or failure handling.
- Accepting a change request before defining the data source and acceptance test.
