About the role
This interview covers ownership of value-added services such as content, messaging, payments and subscription products. The panel wants to see sound product judgement, control of partner integrations, careful treatment of charging and consent, and an ability to turn usage data into profitable improvements.
How to prepare
- Review how activation, renewal, charging, fulfilment and cancellation work across a typical VAS journey.
- Prepare a product example that links a customer need to commercial results and operational measures.
- Think through how you would assess an aggregator or content partner before integration.
- Practise explaining the trade-offs between revenue growth, customer protection and technical effort.
- List the measures you would use to diagnose low usage, high churn or rising complaints.
Common mistakes
- Treating launch as the finish rather than planning for adoption, support and optimisation.
- Discussing revenue without explaining consent, charging clarity and easy cancellation.
- Accepting partner reports without reconciling them against billing and customer data.
