About this interview
An endorsement interview can test whether the achievements and plans in a Global Talent application meet the relevant field's standard. The panel may probe your personal contribution, external recognition, leadership and intended work in the UK. Criteria vary by field and route, so check the current official guidance and the instructions of the relevant endorsing body.
How to prepare
- Map each claim in your endorsement application to the evidence that supports it.
- Practise separating your own contribution from the work of collaborators or an organisation.
- Prepare examples of recognition, influence and leadership that a specialist panel can verify.
- Develop a concrete account of the work you intend to do in the UK and who may benefit from it.
- Check the official UK government guidance and relevant endorsing body's current criteria.
Common mistakes
- Listing prestigious projects without clarifying your personal contribution.
- Treating popularity or job seniority as sufficient proof of recognition.
- Giving broad UK plans with no clear activities, collaborators or beneficiaries.
- Making claims that go beyond what the submitted evidence supports.
