About the role
This interview examines how you deliver telecoms equipment from approved design to an operational, supportable site. The panel is looking for strong readiness planning, close inspection of workmanship, practical integration troubleshooting and disciplined control of defects and handover records.
How to prepare
- Review the prerequisites for site access, power, transmission, equipment, configuration and integration support.
- Prepare an example where you solved a design or installation conflict without hiding the change.
- Revise checks for cabling, earthing, labelling, equipment mounting, alarms and test results.
- Think through how you manage contractors when schedule pressure conflicts with acceptance quality.
- Practise explaining a site handover pack and who relies on each record.
Common mistakes
- Starting installation before confirming access, power, transmission and material readiness.
- Approving undocumented site changes because the equipment appears to work.
- Closing a site with alarms, earthing defects or incomplete as-built records.
