How to prepare

Choose one distributed system you know deeply and map its services, data stores, message flows and failure paths.
Revise consistency models, idempotency, retries, timeouts, back pressure and safe message processing.
Prepare a migration story that explains sequencing, compatibility, monitoring, rollback and customer impact.
Identify a technical standard you influenced across teams and the evidence that changed people's minds.
Practise discussing capacity and reliability in terms of user journeys rather than infrastructure alone.
