About the award
This fellowship interview examines whether your venture addresses a real social problem through a credible and sustainable model. The panel looks for user insight, evidence of outcomes, command of the business model, learning from tests and a responsible approach to growth.
How to prepare
- Interview or revisit feedback from the people affected and identify how it changed the venture.
- Separate outputs, such as people reached, from outcomes that show a meaningful change.
- Know who pays, your major costs and the assumptions that keep the model viable.
- Prepare one failed test and explain the evidence, decision and subsequent change.
- Check the fellowship's official information for current eligibility, selection criteria and materials.
Common mistakes
- Describing people only as beneficiaries instead of showing how they shaped the solution.
- Calling reach or attendance an outcome without evidence of meaningful change.
- Avoiding the difficult parts of revenue, costs and operational capacity.
