About the role
This interview explores how you make SAP implementation decisions across process, configuration, data, testing and adoption. The panel wants depth in your area alongside an end-to-end view, firm control of implementation risks and the confidence to challenge both customisation and weak business readiness.
How to prepare
- Review one end-to-end SAP process and the dependencies between master data, configuration and controls.
- Prepare a fit-to-standard decision where you challenged or justified custom development.
- Map how you would govern data cleansing, migration rehearsal and reconciliation.
- Choose a testing problem where you found the underlying cause rather than only logging defects.
- Rehearse an example of resolving disagreement between business owners and the technical team.
Common mistakes
- Listing transactions and configuration tasks without explaining the business process.
- Accepting customisation before testing whether the standard process can meet the need.
- Treating successful data loading as proof that migration is complete and accurate.
- Leaving adoption and control ownership until training near cutover.
