About the role
An ERP consulting analyst supports the translation of business processes into SAP, prepares data, tests configured workflows and helps users adopt the system. The interview checks whether you understand connected business transactions and whether your documentation, testing and communication are dependable.
How to prepare
- Review the flow from purchasing to payment and from customer order to cash receipt.
- Learn how master data, transaction data, roles and approvals support an ERP process.
- Prepare to discuss any SAP training, sandbox exercise or ERP coursework honestly and specifically.
- Practise writing a requirement with a user, business reason, rule and acceptance condition.
- Review data cleansing, reconciliation, test cases, defects and evidence of retesting.
Common mistakes
- Presenting SAP as separate modules without explaining the transactions that connect them.
- Accepting every request as a customisation without examining the standard process.
- Treating data preparation and user testing as minor tasks near the end of implementation.
