About the role
This is a management interview about turning demand forecasts and service ambitions into an achievable radio plan. The panel will look for strong RF judgement, disciplined investment choices and the ability to lead planners while coordinating acquisition, transmission, rollout and optimisation teams.
How to prepare
- Review how you translate traffic forecasts, coverage gaps and spectrum constraints into site and capacity plans.
- Prepare an example of prioritising radio investments when funding or delivery capacity was limited.
- Think through the assumptions you challenge in propagation models, candidate designs and vendor proposals.
- Practise presenting a rollout plan with dependencies, risks and decision points.
- Prepare an example of developing a planner or improving the quality of a planning team.
Common mistakes
- Treating predicted coverage as certain without explaining calibration and field validation.
