About the role
A real estate sales agent helps buyers find and purchase property, from plots of land to finished homes. You generate leads, show properties, explain prices and payment plans, and guide buyers through checks on titles and documents such as a Certificate of Occupancy or survey plan. The panel wants honest, persistent salespeople who protect buyers from bad deals.
How to prepare
- Learn the company's current projects, locations and payment plans in detail.
- Revise the main property documents and checks, such as titles, survey plans and governor's consent.
- Prepare a story about turning a lead into a sale or a long-term client.
- Think about how you would find buyers, including clients abroad and referrals.
- Practise explaining a payment plan clearly to someone comparing several options.
Common mistakes
- Overpromising on location, value or delivery dates to close a sale.
- Not understanding the documents buyers need to check.
- Giving up on leads too early instead of following up consistently.
