About the role
This interview tests whether you can support a humanitarian project when needs are urgent and field conditions change. The panel wants someone who can follow procedures, protect affected people and keep dependable records. You should show calm judgement without presenting yourself as the final decision-maker.
How to prepare
- Review basic humanitarian principles, safeguarding and safe referral of concerns.
- Prepare an example of working under pressure without losing accuracy.
- Think through the information needed when a field activity is delayed or moved.
- Practise describing how you would challenge favouritism in access to assistance.
- Review simple distribution records, issue logs and field activity reports.
Common mistakes
- Promising assistance before eligibility or available stock is confirmed.
- Trying to investigate a safeguarding report yourself.
- Ignoring security, access or weather information when changing a plan.
- Describing speed as more important than accurate distribution records.
