About the role
This is a practical interview about delivering the daily production plan safely and consistently. Interviewers want to hear how you lead supervisors, control the shift, solve recurring losses and protect hygiene and process standards when output is under pressure.
How to prepare
- Prepare a shift planning example that covers labour, materials, changeovers and equipment availability.
- Review the main causes of availability, performance and quality loss on lines you have managed.
- Choose a recurring stoppage or waste problem and explain how you found and removed its cause.
- Prepare an example of developing a supervisor or correcting inconsistent team standards.
- Practise explaining how production records support traceability and shift handover.
Common mistakes
- Giving only technical answers and saying little about operators, supervisors or handovers.
- Promising to recover output by skipping cleaning, checks or planned maintenance.
- Listing production measures without showing how you use them during a live shift.
