About the programme
This is a competitive undergraduate medical admission screening focused on more than examination scores. The panel looks for informed motivation, sound scientific reasoning, ethical awareness, clear communication and evidence that you can sustain a demanding course of study.
How to prepare
- Review key biology and chemistry concepts and practise applying them rather than reciting definitions.
- Reflect on what doctors do in teams and where they must seek help or respect a patient's decision.
- Prepare examples of how you recovered from an academic disappointment or changed an ineffective study habit.
- Follow a current health topic and distinguish evidence from opinion when discussing it.
- Check the institution's official admissions information for current eligibility and screening instructions.
Common mistakes
- Claiming that prestige or family pressure is your only reason for choosing medicine.
- Treating ethical questions as if there is always one simple answer.
- Bluffing when you do not know a scientific fact instead of explaining your reasoning carefully.
- Speaking about doctors as lone decision makers and overlooking patients and healthcare teams.
