About the role
This interview covers the daily work of supporting health, safety and environmental controls in a manufacturing plant. The panel wants to see whether you notice practical hazards, respect permit and isolation rules, report facts accurately and speak up when production pressure conflicts with safe work.
How to prepare
- Revise how to identify hazards, judge risk and choose controls using the hierarchy of controls.
- Practise explaining the checks you would make before hot work or maintenance begins.
- Prepare an example of when you noticed an unsafe condition and helped correct it.
- Review the immediate actions required after an injury, spill or near miss.
- Think about how you would challenge unsafe work without creating an argument on the floor.
