About the role
A supply chain data analyst connects information from demand, procurement, inventory, warehousing and transport to explain operational performance. The panel is looking for sound data handling, practical knowledge of supply chain measures and the ability to turn analysis into decisions that planners and operations teams trust.
How to prepare
- Review the logic behind service, inventory, forecast, supplier and delivery measures you have used.
- Prepare an analysis where joining data across several systems revealed the real cause of a problem.
- Practise explaining how you check completeness, duplicates, units, dates and master data before analysis.
- Be ready to describe your use of SQL, Excel and a dashboard tool without overstating your contribution.
- Think of a recommendation that faced resistance and how you tested it safely.
Common mistakes
- Listing dashboard features without explaining the operational question or decision.
- Using a measure whose definition changes across teams without reconciling the difference.
- Claiming causation from a simple trend without checking other operational changes.
