About the role

A senior account manager owns the day-to-day health and delivery of important advertising accounts. The panel will look for evidence that you can guide clients, turn business problems into useful briefs, coordinate several agency teams and manage budgets without losing trust. Strong answers make your own decisions and commercial responsibility clear.

How to prepare

  1. Choose two campaigns where you can explain the client problem, your role, the delivery choices and the outcome.
  2. Prepare an example of challenging a client respectfully and keeping the relationship strong.
  3. Review how you manage estimates, change requests, approvals and risks across an account.
  4. Practise turning a vague client request into a focused creative or media brief.
  5. Think through a recovery plan for a late asset, missed approval or overspent workstream.

Common mistakes

  • Taking credit for the agency's work without explaining your own contribution.
  • Agreeing to every client request without discussing scope, cost or consequences.
  • Describing campaigns only through outputs instead of the client's business problem.
  • Hiding delivery risks until the panel asks how you communicated them.
