About the role
This interview covers ownership of the factory quality system and the judgement required when evidence is incomplete or delivery is at risk. The panel is looking for rigorous investigations, defensible release decisions and an ability to make production teams own quality controls.
How to prepare
- Review how you approve specifications, sampling, testing, release and non-conforming product decisions.
- Prepare an audit finding that led to a useful system change rather than a paperwork fix.
- Choose a complaint or deviation investigation and explain how you separated symptoms from root causes.
- Think through the evidence you need before accepting a corrective action as effective.
- Prepare an example of challenging an operational decision while keeping the working relationship constructive.
Common mistakes
- Describing compliance as document completion without testing whether controls work on the floor.
- Allowing dispatch pressure to determine a release decision before evidence is complete.
- Closing corrective actions when tasks are finished without verifying their effectiveness.
