About the role
This interview covers the public procurement cycle from planning and tendering to evaluation and contract delivery. The panel is looking for value-conscious commercial judgement, fair treatment of bidders, complete records and confident application of current official procurement rules.
How to prepare
- Review the relevant procurement regulator's official rules, standard documents and current thresholds before the interview.
- Prepare an example of improving a specification or procurement plan before tender.
- Practise explaining how you would assess an unusually low bid and document the conclusion.
- Think through conflicts of interest, bidder communications and changes after contract award.
