About the programme
This interview assesses your readiness to study health beyond individual clinical care. The panel looks for curiosity about disease patterns, social determinants, prevention and the fair use of evidence. You should be able to reason through a community problem without claiming certainty that the available data cannot support.
How to prepare
- Choose one population health issue and examine its causes, affected groups and prevention options.
- Review basic measures used to describe disease patterns and health inequalities.
- Practise identifying missing information and possible bias in a simple health scenario.
- Prepare an example of working respectfully with a community or diverse group.
- Connect the diploma to a realistic public health role or further course of study.
Common mistakes
- Treating public health as clinical treatment delivered to many individuals.
- Proposing an intervention before checking the quality and coverage of the data.
- Blaming communities for low uptake without investigating access and trust.
- Overlooking consent, privacy or unequal effects across population groups.
