About the role
This interview covers the daily control of pharmaceutical manufacturing, from dispensing and line clearance to batch completion. The panel wants evidence that you can meet a production plan without bypassing GMP, documentation or safety controls. Expect practical questions about discrepancies, interruptions and shift decisions.
How to prepare
- Review the flow of a batch from material issue through processing, packaging and handover.
- Prepare an example of a deviation you contained and explain what evidence you recorded.
- Revise line clearance, status labelling, material reconciliation and in-process checks.
- Think through how you would replan a shift when equipment, materials or quality clearance are delayed.
- Practise explaining how you brief operators and verify that approved procedures are followed.
Common mistakes
- Treating output as more important than line clearance or quality approval.
- Suggesting that records can be completed from memory at the end of a shift.
- Restarting equipment after an interruption without assessing the effect on the batch.
- Describing team supervision without showing how you verify critical steps.
