About the role
This interview tests whether you can lead the technical shape and everyday quality of a React product. Expect detailed discussion of component and state boundaries, performance, accessibility, testing and how you help a frontend team make consistent decisions.
How to prepare
- Review a React application you led and trace how data, state and errors move through it.
- Prepare examples of measuring and improving browser performance on constrained devices or networks.
- Revise keyboard navigation, focus management, semantic HTML and accessible form behaviour.
- Compare the testing layers you use and explain which risks each layer should cover.
- Choose a leadership story that shows delegation, feedback and a difficult technical decision.
Common mistakes
- Giving framework rules without connecting them to the product's actual constraints.
- Treating accessibility as a final compliance check.
- Suggesting a rewrite before identifying the source of complexity.
- Describing leadership only as reviewing other people's code.
