About the role

This is an executive interview for ownership of pharmaceutical regulatory strategy, governance and authority engagement in Nigeria. The panel is assessing whether you can protect the licence to operate, guide portfolio choices and turn complex regulatory exposure into clear decisions for leaders across the business.

How to prepare

  1. Build a view of how regulatory strategy should influence portfolio, supply and launch decisions.
  2. Check current official NAFDAC guidance relevant to product registration, lifecycle changes and market compliance.
  3. Prepare an example of advising executives when commercial urgency conflicted with regulatory obligations.
  4. Review how you would govern commitments, renewals, variations, labelling and emerging regulatory risks across a portfolio.
  5. Prepare an example of constructive authority engagement on a complex or contested technical position.
  6. Think through the team structure, measures and cross-functional forums needed for consistent regulatory performance.

Common mistakes

  • Answering as a submission manager rather than an executive accountable for portfolio risk.
  • Describing regulator relationships as access instead of credible, evidence-based engagement.
  • Allowing commercial pressure to weaken regulatory controls or documented decision making.
  • Listing activity measures without showing how governance improves outcomes and accountability.
