About the role
This interview tests your ability to lead a safe, accurate and responsive fulfilment centre. The panel will look for practical control of capacity, labour, inventory, order flow and shift performance, especially when demand or infrastructure changes suddenly. Strong answers protect people and accuracy while recovering service quickly.
How to prepare
- Review how receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing and dispatch affect one another.
- Prepare an example of improving throughput or accuracy without weakening safety controls.
- Think through labour and space planning for a sharp rise in order volume.
- Revise the checks you use to investigate stock discrepancies and picking errors.
- Prepare an example of holding supervisors and shift teams accountable for a new standard.
Common mistakes
- Prioritising dispatch speed when a safety or stock-control risk is unresolved.
- Giving a staffing answer without considering space, equipment and carrier cut-offs.
- Blaming individual pickers before checking location, replenishment and system controls.
- Describing a trial improvement without showing how it became standard work.
