About the role
This interview examines fraud and returns risk across an ecommerce order journey. The panel is looking for evidence-based investigations, practical controls and balanced judgement that limits abuse without unfairly blocking genuine customers or masking seller and fulfilment failures.
How to prepare
- Map the evidence available across accounts, devices, payments, deliveries, refunds and returned items.
- Prepare an investigation example that shows how you tested alternative explanations.
- Revise false positives, control monitoring and the difference between prevented and displaced loss.
- Think through common hand-off gaps among support, warehouse, courier, seller and payments teams.
- Practise recommending a control with an exception path and a review measure.
Common mistakes
- Assuming unusual customer behaviour proves dishonest intent.
- Ignoring seller quality or fulfilment errors as alternative causes.
- Recommending broad blocks without estimating genuine-customer impact.
- Reporting suspicious cases without a clear decision or control recommendation.
