About the role
A telecoms customer experience analyst uses feedback, complaints and service data to understand where customer journeys break down. The panel is checking whether you can frame a customer problem, analyse segments carefully, connect findings to operational causes and recommend an improvement that can be measured.
How to prepare
- Review the stages of common telecoms journeys such as onboarding, recharge, data use, fault reporting and complaint resolution.
- Practise separating the symptom described by customers from the possible operational causes.
- Prepare an example of using qualitative and quantitative information together.
- Think through useful measures for customer effort, satisfaction, repeat contact and resolution quality.
- Rehearse explaining an insight to a technical team without overstating what the data proves.
Common mistakes
- Reporting an average without checking meaningful customer segments.
- Assuming every complaint is caused by the network.
- Presenting charts without a clear customer problem or recommended action.
- Suggesting an improvement without saying how its effect would be measured.
